The City of Atascadero and the Atascadero Community Redevelopment Agency do not own or manage affordable units.

We recommend that you visit the San Luis Obispo County’s Affordable Housing website for information on affordable housing opportunities in Atascadero and other SLO County communities.

The City of Atascadero uses the County’s Affordable Housing Standard-Coastal Zone income limits and Coastal Zone rents and sales prices bulletin. That bulletin is found by clicking on “Coastal Zone” found within the first paragraph on the County’s webpage.

The City does not qualify prospective buyers or advise them in any way. Potential buyers must be screened for eligibility and certified as income qualified to purchase an affordable unit. The City of Atascadero has identified the San Luis Obispo County Housing Authority (HASLO) as the entity to provide eligibility and income qualifying services. There is a cost for these services.

Please contact Zona Torres at HASLO at (805) 594-5311 or ztorres@haslo.org for information.

For information regarding County of San Luis Obispo affordable housing programs, please contact Dana Lilley at (805) 781-5600.

For Realtors and Escrow Officers:

4. First Lender + Amount

5. Second Lender + Amount

6. Number of Promissory Notes Secured by Senior Deeds of Trust (if any)

7. Market Price

8. Purchase Price

9. Copy of the Trust Deed

Once the above information is received, the City will prepare and submit into escrow the following:

1. Deed of Trust

2. Promissory Note

3. Buyer’s Disclosure Statement

4. Request for Notice

5. Resale and Refinancing Restriction Agreement and Option to Purchase

Preparation of City documents for submission to escrow requires ten (10) to fifteen (15) days.
