Eagle Ranch Project Info

On November 15, 2011, the Planning Commission hosted a Community Workshop to review the progress of the Eagle Ranch Specific Plan. Staff and its Consultant Team made a presentation to the Planning Commission and residents that included:

• Where the project is located
• The History of the Project
• Environmental constraints that were analyzed in the preliminary study
• Where the project is in the entitlement process

The applicant and their consultant also had an opportunity to make a presentation that included their conceptual land use plan and lotting concept, proposed location of streets, and trails.

After the presentation, the Planning Commission opened the meeting up to public comment. Many residents voice their opinions and addressed positive aspects of the project as well as some concerns to both Staff and the Applicant. The concerns raised at the meeting included traffic, project interface issues with existing residential homes, project size, and environmental concerns. At the close of the public comment period, the Planning Commission was given the opportunity to make comments on the information presented.

The next step in the process will include a Joint City Council / Planning Commission meeting scheduled for early 2012, followed by project refinements based on this meeting and comments received from both the City Council and Planning Commission.
