City Hall and the Permit Counter staff are only available on an appointment basis. Please direct all questions to staff via email or phone call and we will respond as soon as possible as we have limited resources available at this time. Please note the following:

• Walk in services are not available for general inquiries, property information or planning/building questions by appointment only. These services are also available by phone or e-mail.
• Questions regarding plan review comments should be directed to the reviewer at the contact listed in the left hand margin of the corrections document.
• General questions can be sent to permitcenter@atascadero.org.
• Permits available for e-submittal can still be accepted through permitcenter@atascadero.org.
• All other projects will still need to be handled through paper submittal with an appointment.
• For appointments, please contact City Staff to schedule by phoning (805) 461-5000.
• There is also a locked drop box located in the outer lobby for payment and small submittals made by arrangment.

Welcome to the City of Atascadero's Permit Center.

Our Permit Center is located at City Hall at 6500 Palma Avenue. Hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. (Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. - 4 p.m.).

Calls received before 5 p.m. Monday thru Friday will be scheduled for the next business day. Please have the permit number, project address, type of inspection and contact information available. This is a message only system; you may call the front counter the next morning after 8:30 to confirm .

Morning inspections are 9 am to 12 pm; afternoon inspections are 1 pm to 4 pm. You may request an AM or PM inspection, you may also request a 30 minute courtesy call ahead and we will do our best to accommodate your request.
