The Public Works Department uses a website hosted by Quest Construction Data Network to distribute project plans and specifications. Via this site, potential contractors, subcontractors and suppliers can view bid results and preview current projects at no charge.

In order to purchase and download project plans and specifications, bidders will need to register with Quest Construction Data Network. Please be advised, only bidders who have registered and downloaded project plans, will be added to the planholder's list.

Transfer and Development of Surplus City Land known as the Centennial Plaza Lots

The City of Atascadero Department of Community Development requests written responses to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for the selection of a developer/owner as a preliminary invitation to purchase and develop City-owned parcels at 5901 East Mall in Atascadero, CA (RFQ number CD-2024-01). Responses are due by March 1, 2024.

The City of Atascadero is seeking to incentivize the development of vacant lots adjacent to Sunken Gardens Park with restaurant and retail spaces. The vacant sites are within the Downtown Commercial Zone and are on East Mall, directly adjacent to City Hall, and bookending Centennial Plaza, a short distance from Atascadero Creek. The vacant lots span the area between a City-owned public parking lot, East Mall Avenue, and a pathway that parallels Atascadero Creek. One lot is 75 feet wide and 100 feet deep, northeast of Centennial Plaza. The second lot is 25 feet wide and 100 feet deep on the southwest side of Centennial Plaza. The proposal should include the purchase of both sites to be included in a single project.

The primary objective for this project is to ensure the timely, vibrant development of specified vacant parcels within the historic downtown surrounding the existing Centennial Plaza pedestrian paseo. This project should embrace the unique location, respect adjacent historic features, and support the increase of downtown synergy into the future.

City of Atascadero

The City of Atascadero is requesting the services of a qualified contractor to design and install holiday lights in the trees in the historic downtown Atascadero Sunken Gardens park. All proposals shall include holiday type lighting that transforms the park into a festive environment, showcasing its unique features, and benefiting both the community and visitors.

The selected Contractor shall be responsible for design, installation, maintenance, removal, packaging, storage and transport of all seasonal lighting features. All lighting remains the property of the Contractor.

The City intends to award the contract for an initial one-year term, with the ability, by mutual agreement, to extend the term in two-year increments two times, for a total possible term of five years. For more information, click the button below. Responses are due by March 15, 2024, at 4:00 p.m.
