City of Atascadero & Central Coast Zoo Announce Weekend Vending Opportunity at Atascadero Lake Park

The City of Atascadero and the Central Coast Zoo are excited to announce that the Weekend Vending Opportunity is now open for local food vendors! Beginning June 20th through the end of September, vendors can sign up to sell their menu items through this program at the entrance of the Central Coast Zoo at Atascadero Lake Park every Saturday and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m.
This program is designed to offer unique food options to Zoo visitors and parkgoers, providing food options that are currently not available. By welcoming local food vendors, the option to purchase food will enhance the overall guest experience. Following are the details:
Scheduled Weekend Dates:
June 20-21, 27-28
July 5, 11-12, 18-19, 25-26
August 1-2, 8-9, 23, 29-30
September 5-6, 13, 19-20 and 26-27
Vendor Participation Requirements:
- Offer a variety of food items and, where possible, commit to a weekend timeframe for both Saturday & Sunday (12–4 p.m.).
- Bring a small, quiet generator; electricity is not available on site.
- 9% of sales for the weekend would be required.
- $1 million in General Liability Insurance, naming the City of Atascadero as additionally insured.
- A current City Business License and valid Health Department Permit.
- Deadline to submit vendor forms: Friday, February 27, 2026.
