The City of Atascadero has once again been recognized with the Excellence Award in Budgeting from the California Society of Municipal Finance Officers (CSMFO) for its 2025–2027 Operating Budget. This achievement reflects the City’s commitment to align its financial planning with the priorities established by the City Council and our community, ensuring both short-term and long-term fiscal responsibility.

CSMFO is the leading organization dedicated to promoting excellence in government finance. Its Budget Awards Program honors agencies whose budget documents meet rigorous statewide standards for quality, transparency, and clarity. Receiving this award signifies a significant accomplishment in meeting these high standards and serves as an example for other agencies striving for excellence in financial stewardship.
