National Night Out! - Tuesday, August 4, 2026, 5-7 pm

The Atascadero Police Department invites residents to join officers, first responders, and community partners for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 4, from 5 pm to 7 pm at the Sunken Gardens in Downtown Atascadero.

National Night Out is an annual community-building event that strengthens the partnership between law enforcement and the community while promoting neighborhood camaraderie and public safety. The event provides an opportunity for residents to meet the men and women who serve the community, learn about public safety resources, and build positive relationships in a fun, family-friendly environment.

Attendees will have the opportunity to interact with members of the Atascadero Police Department, meet local public safety personnel, and connect with community organizations and businesses dedicated to making Atascadero a safe and welcoming place to live, work, and visit. The evening will feature activities designed for all ages and encourage meaningful conversations between community members and first responders.

"National Night Out is a wonderful opportunity to strengthen the relationships that help keep our community safe," said Chief of Police Dan Suttles. "We encourage everyone to come out, meet their local first responders, and enjoy an evening focused on community, connection, and partnership."
