Southern California Man Arrested by Atascadero PD

In August 2026, Detectives became aware of crimes committed against a minor that occurred in the City of Atascadero. Through the investigation, detectives identified Michael Donovan Cobb Jr, 36 years of Los Angeles as a suspect of the crimes.

On October 15, 2026, Atascadero detectives traveled to Los Angeles and arrested Cobb Jr. without incident. He was transported back to San Luis Obispo County and booked into the SLO County Jail for the following crimes:

1. 288 (c)(1) PC: Lewd Acts with a Child, (Felony)
2. 288.2 (a)(1) PC: Send Harmful Matter to a Minor (Felony)
3. 288.3(a) PC: Contact a Minor with Intent to Meet for Sex (Felony)
4. 289(i) PC: Sexual Penetration of a Minor (Felony)
5. 288.4(b) PC: Arrange to Meet Minor for Sex (Felony)

Cobb Jr’s bail was sent at $1 million dollars.
