Atascadero Recreation offers an adult basketball league and kickball league!
FREE Drop-in Basketball!
On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 12pm-2pm at the Colony Park Community Center, we offer free drop-in basketball. Participants are required to sign a waiver upon entry.
Do you want to play in a league, but don’t have a team?
If you want to participate in a team activity, but don’t have a team to play on you may be able to participate as a “Free Agent”. To get on the Free Agent List please fill out the Free Agent Form. By posting your information on the Free Agent list, league managers have the opportunity to recruit you onto their team. Please note, it’s the responsibility of each league manager to contact any potential free agent.

The first Wednesday of every month from 11:00am-12:00pm, the Atascadero Pickleball Club will be instructing a free introductory class. These monthly classes will take place at the Colony Park Community Center, located at 5599 Traffic Way. Please see atascaderopickleball.com for more information.
Adult Kickball League (Ages: 16 & up)
Channel Your Inner 4th Grader!
The City of Atascadero is settling into a regular schedule of seasons for the Adult Kickball League with Spring and late Summer-Fall seasons. Games are held on Wednesday evenings/nights at the Paloma Creek Softball fields.
Spring season begins in April and runs through May. The Summer-Fall season begins in August and runs to early October. Every season will include 8 evenings of games. Each game will last 7 innings or 1 hour, whichever comes first. All teams will be coed and applications are accepted on a team basis only with a minimum of 12 players and a maximum of 18 players. Spring Drop-in Gym!
Spring drop-in gym will take place at the Colony Park Community Center from March 9th - April 13th from 5pm - 7pm. One half of the court will be reserved for volleyball, and the other half reserved for basketball. All participants are required to pay $2 per session. Punch passes are $10, and are good for 6 sessions. Anyone under the age of 18 must have a parent sign a waiver and be present the entire time.
Pickleball
There are four (4) outdoor pickleball courts located at Colony Park, 5599 Traffic Way. The outdoor courts are open to the public during daylight hours and outside of Atascadero Pickleball Club use (M-F 8am to 12pm). Non-club Members are welcome to join-in during Club play by "paddling up".
