Atascadero Dial-A-Ride

The Atascadero Dial-A-Ride provides curb-to-curb public transportation services within Atascadero city limits. Buses are wheelchair lift equipped and are fitted with bike racks for riders convenience.

Hours:

Monday - Friday, 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m., with the exception of select observed holidays*.

Fare Rates

Fare rates are determined by pickup and drop off addresses in Atascadero. If both the pickup and drop off addresses are Zone 1 locations the Zone 1 rate would apply. If either the pickup or drop off address falls in a Zone 2 area the Zone 2 rate would apply. To confirm an address’ zone, refer to the Zone Fare Map or call (805) 466-7433 for assistance.

Rules of the Road

Atascadero Dial-A-Ride thanks you for observing the following Rules of the Road when using our transit services:

  • No Eating or Drinking (Sealed water bottles are ok!)
  • No Smoking
  • Always remain seated while the bus is moving
  • Exact fare please, Drivers do not carry change
  • Please, no more than 3 grocery bags

*Observed Holidays

Atascadero Dial-A-Ride does not operate on the following City Holidays:

  • New Year’s Day
  • Martin Luther King, Jr.’s Birthday
  • Washington’s Birthday
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Veterans Day
  • Thanksgiving Day (and the day after)
  • Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

Services include fixed route, curb-to-curb, door-to-door and specialized paratransit services. Bus Pass Purchase

Atascadero Dial-A-Ride punch passes and RTA bus passes can be purchased with cash or a check at Atascadero City Hall Central Reception during normal business hours. Please note, checks for RTA passes will need to be made out directly to RTA. RTA passes are also available for purchase online at www.slorta.org/passes.

Title VI Policy

No person shall, on the basis of his or her race, color, or national origin, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subjected to discrimination under any program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance pursuant to the requirements of Title VI of the 1964 Civil Rights Act.

The City of Atascadero respects civil rights and operates its programs and services without regard to race, color or national origin. The City of Atascadero is committed to complying with Title VI requirements in all of its programs and services.

Making a Title VI Complaint

Any person who believes he/she has been subjected to discrimination in the delivery of or access to public transportation services on the basis of race, color, or national origin, may file a complaint with the City of Atascadero. Such complaint must be filed in writing no later than 30 days after the alleged discrimination.
