Construction of new Fire Station #1 and Emergency Operations Center. Rehabilitation and upgrades to Fire Station #2 and Police Headquarters facilities.
The Public Safety Facilities Project comprehensively addressess three aging Atascadero public safety facilities. This project will replace the outdated and structurally deficient Fire Station #1 with a new 17,000 square foot Fire Station and Emergency Operations Center at the same location.
Additionally, Fire Station #2 will be modernized to meet current standards for safety, code compliance and quality.
Police Headquarters will also be renovated to address modern policing standards and maximize operational efficiencies, including upgraded security, refreshing interior finishes, improvements to restrooms and locker rooms, and a new 1,300 square foot detached dispatch building.
